This page explains what cookies and similar technologies www.backingnordics.com uses, what each category is for, and how to change your mind. It forms part of our privacy policy, which covers how we handle personal data more generally.
We use Cookiebot to ask for and record your consent. On your first visit you are asked to consent to non-necessary cookies in accordance with Chapter 9, Section 28 of the Swedish Electronic Communications Act (2022:482). You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the cookie settings on the website, and withdrawing is as easy as giving consent.
The four categories
Cookiebot sorts everything this site sets into four categories. Only the first is set without asking you.
- Necessary – required for the site to function, and for your consent choice itself to be remembered. Without these the site cannot work as intended, so they are set on the basis of legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) rather than consent.
- Preferences – remember choices you have made, such as settings that change how the site behaves for you. Set only with your consent.
- Statistics – help us understand how the site is used, in aggregate. Set only with your consent.
- Marketing – used to measure and target advertising. The Meta Pixel falls into this category and does not load at all until you consent. On this website it fires a page view event only; in our signed-in application the same pixel also fires an event when an opt-in form is submitted and when a signup completes. Set only with your consent.
Cookies set by this site expire after at most 13 months.
Browser storage, which is not a cookie
Our own analytics, Crescere, stores a randomly generated visitor identifier under the key crescere_vid in your browser's local storage. It exists so that repeat page views within a single day are counted once. It is regenerated at midnight local time and it is never derived from your IP address, your device or any other identifier.
It is called out separately because local storage is not a cookie and does not appear in the declaration below. Unlike a cookie it also does not expire on its own: it stays in your browser until it is replaced the following day, or until you clear site data for this website through your browser settings.
